Sherwood Park Acreage Wedding - Shaylee and Connor

001-sherwood-park-acreage-wedding.jpg

Getting married on a family property is such a special way to honour and celebrate family, and traditions. Shaylee and Conner were able to set up their ceremony and reception out at his family’s property last month. It's the same land his grandfather owned when he decided to settle his family there. The weather was beautiful throughout the day, and the rain held off just in time for the reception. Even with all the downpouring, the place felt warm and was buzzing with excitement all night.

These two lovebirds have known each other forever. They also had a picture from a little league team to prove it. They were Jr high sweethearts! Their families were thrilled to be officially welcoming each other to the family finally.

Congratulations to you all. It was wonderful to be a part of your special day. I loved all of the little details you had thought through.. including a veil that has been passed down through the family and having your cake made by Adele! Using board games as your centerpieces, having your bridal party all wear Converse shoes, and even just enjoying some Mc Donalds before the day got started.  The love you two share and show each other is genuinely wonderful to be around.

Rundle Park Wedding - Isabel and Ryan

Talk about two beautiful and creative souls who are meant to be. Isabel and Ryan share such a sweet bond and they radiate a sense of warmth and calmness when you're around them. It was such a pleasure to be a part of their day.

Isabel designed and made her own dress, along with a lot of the decor and jewellery from the day! She was finishing up the final touches of her dress until the wee hours of the night right before the wedding! Everything looked gorgeous and all the details were incredible. Still, our favorite part was the combining of two families who loved and supported this couple.

After a beautiful ceremony at their family church and some ice cream and popsicles, we headed to Rundle Park for some portraits. They had their reception at the Rundle Family Centre and we love the way they made the reception area feel like home with lavender, tea, board games and repurposed coffee and drink cups (that the guests got to take home). It truly was a cozy reception.

Congratulations again,

Edmonton Old Country Lodge wedding - Chelsea and Jay

Chelsea and Jay's wedding has been a long time coming! In particular for their friends Darren and Megan who'd set them up years ago. It's always nerve-racking to set up two friends on different sides of the couple. There is potential for greatness, but it can also be a risky move in disturbing the balance of friendships. These two were a perfect match though. They completely compliment each other and haven't looked back since! Now they're avid Edmonton Eskimo fans together, and their friendships have grown even stronger.

Chelsea and Jay are long time season ticket holders and they rented out Commonwealth Stadium for an hour during their portrait session! It was such a treat to photograph them and their friends in such a fun venue and one of their favourite places to hang out.

After photographing their adorable first look and taking some wedding portraits, we headed to the Old Country Lodge for their ceremony and reception with everyone else. It was such a fun filled sunny day! Thanks for having us be a part of it!
