Edmonton Old Country Lodge wedding - Chelsea and Jay

Chelsea and Jay's wedding has been a long time coming! In particular for their friends Darren and Megan who'd set them up years ago. It's always nerve-racking to set up two friends on different sides of the couple. There is potential for greatness, but it can also be a risky move in disturbing the balance of friendships. These two were a perfect match though. They completely compliment each other and haven't looked back since! Now they're avid Edmonton Eskimo fans together, and their friendships have grown even stronger.

Chelsea and Jay are long time season ticket holders and they rented out Commonwealth Stadium for an hour during their portrait session! It was such a treat to photograph them and their friends in such a fun venue and one of their favourite places to hang out.

After photographing their adorable first look and taking some wedding portraits, we headed to the Old Country Lodge for their ceremony and reception with everyone else. It was such a fun filled sunny day! Thanks for having us be a part of it!

Edmonton Old Timers Cabin Wedding - Heather and Richard

Being a wedding photographer in Edmonton mean's you need to be prepared for any type of weather on any given day. Even though it was the middle of the summer no one was prepared for Heather and Richard's wedding to be on one of the hottest days of the year. Having water, shade and some air conditioning at the venue were definite necessities. I was so impressed with these two during their portrait session though. They were more than happy to stand in the blazing sun for as long as we asked them too (obviously we took breaks too!). While I felt like I was melting away and trying to keep some professional composure, they just stood there in their post-wedding ceremony bliss!

Heather and Richard's day was about way more than just a gorgeous summer day though. It was packed full of family and friends who were thrilled to be sharing in their day. And from having their Uncle officiate the ceremony to incorporating their siblings throughout the day, you could tell these two were not only marrying each other but indeed joining up as one big family.

Here are some of our favorite images from throughout the day. Congratulations to you all. Thank you for having us as your wedding photographers.

St Joachim Wedding - Jenna and Justin

Jenna and Justin's wedding was incredible. That's what happens with amazing people find each other and decide to get married. These two are both such genuine sweethearts. Their families are tight and their friends are basically family too... How could their day be anything short of incredible.

I loved how they were able to involve so many talented friends and family into their day. From getting ready, to performing the ceremony, to details at the reception, so many important people played a role in bringing the day together. Their reception was full of top notch speeches and top notch dancing! (look for the grooms father, and also a cameo flip from Brittney and Mike!)

At the end of the evening, Jenna came up to us.. and excitedly whispered that a proposal might be happening for Justin's sister.. She was thrilled to share the evening with family and we are so glad we were able to stay to photograph and witness what happened next... As soon as she said yes, the ENTIRE FAMILY CRASHED THE DANCE FLOOR and suddenly they were in the middle of the largest group hug. There were goosebumps all around.

Congratulations to you both and to your families!
