Edmonton Ice Castle Engagement Session _ Conner and Shaylee

I can’t believe it was already a year ago that we ran around the YEGicecastle with these two! They’ve almost been married for six months now. They were adorable and fun to photograph, and I love how her gorgeous red hair pops against the icy blue walls. It felt like we were just tagging along on their fun date.

Winter engagement sessions are always fun to photograph. They can be tricky if it’s too chilly out, but the colors, and crisp frosty air give a new dynamic to portrait sessions. They also bring couples to naturally cuddle up extra close.

Edmonton Engagement Photography - Heather and Richard

Heather and Richard chose to have a winter engagement session! They are fun to photograph because, in order to stay warm, they actually have to cuddle in. :)

We started out at Dream Tea House where they like to frequent and took some pictures of them playing Ticket to Ride! It's always fun to incorporate personal touches throughout a photo session. They're big fans of the board game and even had the special Anniversary addition board with proper tiny train pieces.

Next, we headed to Hawrelak park for some beautiful snowy pictures and we dragged them through the river valley paths as the sun started to come down. They had a gorgeous blanket to cuddle up with as well.

Engagement sessions are such a great way for us to get to know our wedding couples better and I leave even more excited for the opportunity to photograph their weddings!
