second generation weddings

Danielle and Sheldon - Alberta Superhero Wedding

Danielle and Sheldon are a perfect example of when two people who are best friends fall in love... they actually seem like their male and female counterparts! They are adorable and sweet and their love for each other filled the room. We had a blast with their friends and family all day.

Their day was full of fun and important aspects of their lives. The wedding had a great comic book (Spiderman) theme that really reflected their personalities (check out her DIY modge podge shoes, his wedding band with Elvish inscription, superhero undershirts, and their spiderman cake!). Their elegant décor was exquisitely designed and the ceremony also featured a Scottish Knot Tying sub-ceremony that tied in their heritage. Thanks to Julianne (of A Modern Proposal) the whole day ran smoothly and looked amazing.

Happy Anniversary to Danielle's Parents whom Gordon photographed 30 years ago. Thank you for having us be such a big part of your wedding.

Dayna and Joseph - Wedding Photography Edmonton

Dayna and Joey are lovely.  They come from incredible families, and have the bestest of friends.  Its no wonder their wedding day was wonderful. Having been together for quite some time, their families were thrilled to officially be made into one big family.

The day ran smoothly (many thanks to the weather turning and their wedding planner Jenna!) and everyone looked fantastic (especially Dayna, who looked like she stepped out of a fairytale with her floral crown).

I know the speeches aren't everyone's favourite part of a wedding day, but i actually look forward to them each weekend.  Hearing family members or friends get up to share what they love most about the couple makes me happy.  This wedding had a lot of that. So much pride and love for them. It made me happy.

Gordon photographed Dayna's parents' wedding 30 years ago and it was a privilege to be a part of this wedding.  We left this wedding feeling like a part of the family and like we'd made a bunch of new friends.

Congratulations again!
Lots of love,
The Scades
